How to use WinZip to archive your project files
(Click here for alternate WinXP Zip Instructions)

As with most Windows applications there is more than one way to do most things.  Here is one way  to create a WinZip archive.  This assumes that you have downloaded and installed WinZip previously.  If not, go to http://www.winzip.com/  and download an evaluation version to install on your computer, then follow the steps below.

First, I created a new folder on my desktop called appropriately enough, New Folder. Next, I copied all the project files into that folder.  So I now have a window on my desktop that looks like the one below.

Now that all the files are together, right click on any one of the files.  If WinZip is installed you should see an option in your menu to add to Zip.

Select this option and you will see a WinZip window open up with an Add window on top of it  (like the middle two shown here). Click on New… shown below circled in red.  The New Archive dialog will open.  Type a file name for your archive file in the file name box and click on OK.

You should see two things change.  The first is that the file you started with is now shown in the archive.  The second is that you now see a WinZip file icon in your “New Folder”.

Once you get to this point, the rest is easy.  Simply drag the remaining files onto the WinZip window.  You can also select multiple files and drag them as a group.

The Add dialog box should pop up.  Click the Add button and your files will show up in the WinZip file listing.

When you have moved all the files, close the WinZip window.  You should see your WinZip Archive file in the “New Folder”.  This is the one file you will want to attach to your ANGEL  email.  You can confirm what files are in the archive by double clicking it.

There are many variations to this procedure, for example, once the archive is created, as shown above, you can simply drag additional files onto the archive icon. This should be close enough to most versions of WinZip to get you through it. Hope this helps!
