Internet Research Travel Project
(This project is worth 50 points)
One advantage of the Internet is
the ability to research, plan, and purchase travel arrangements via many Internet sites.
You and your spouse, child, friend, etc. want to take a one-week trip to a destination
outside Florida. Choose a place you would like to visit. Plan for the trip by
using available Internet travel sites. Obtain the flight information and cost for
at least two
plane tickets (or other transportation), hotel reservations (or other accommodations), car rental (or
other transportation while there), and "purchase" tickets to an event you want
to attend. Find out about the weather you can expect during the time of your visit. Use Microsoft Word to write a
1 - 2 page summary (Flyer, Research Paper or Memo/Letter format) detailing your research. This summary
should discuss your specific trip plans based on the "Items to be Included" below.
Also include the URL of each site from which you received the information (within your
main document or a separate works cited page at the end). You'll need to save at least one picture
from your internet research and also scan (or use a digital camera) a picture of yourself
to insert in the summary. Both pictures should be inserted
appropriately (right click and format picture as needed) within you final
project. Scanners are available in the classrooms and computer
labs. Once you've completed the project, e-mail it to your instructor (keeters@scc-fl.edu) as an
attachment via your MYSCC e-mail account. Remember to format nicely,
check spelling and grammar and use concepts/features learned from your Word
Projects.
