Follow-up Math Problems  --  When you answer a math question, you just get MORE questions!!

3.       If each paving block weighs 25 pounds, how many tons of blocks must be transported to the site of the rose-bed?  If your car can safely carry 1 ton of cargo, is it safe to carry this many blocks in one trip?  How many trips will be necessary?

       SOLUTION:

This is a very SIMPLE math problem, but considering the damage you could do to your vehicle with this extremely heavy load, you really need to do some calculations before you load up.  To find the total weight of the blocks, just multiply the number of blocks times 25 pounds.  That would be 108 blocks plus an extra 6 blocks just to make sure you have enough, for a total of 114 blocks.   Now, pounds total weight.  Since a TON is 2000 pounds, you need to make two trips!!!

Do you have a problem from YOUR everyday life??  If I can solve and use your problem, please send an Email, giving your first name, city, and state (or country), and send an Email to
