Homework assignments are usually due by noon on Monday following the week assigned, unless otherwise stated on calendar.

Read any postings on the course bulletin board.
Install VB 2005 on your computers. You will receive an email this week in your SCC email account, telling you how you can download Visual Studio 2005 to your computer.

READ CHAPTER 2: Program and Graphical User Interface Design

Take the Attendance Quiz for Week 1.

Post a discussion message on the Main Discussion Board to introduce yourself. This posting must be done by noon on Monday 5/12/08. (15 points)

Read lecture notes on Angel site for Introduction to Object Oriented Programming.

Read CHAPTER 3 in textbook.

Complete the Guided Program Development on pages 83-93 in the textbook. Name the project CHAPTER2. Zip the completed project folder and turn in through the Angel Chapter 2 dropbox. This is due on Monday 5/19 by noon.

Complete the Guided Program Development on pages 159-177 in the textbook. Name the project CHAPTER3 (or just save your changes in the Chapter2 project. Zip the completed project folder and turn in through the Angel Chapter 3 dropbox. This is due on Monday 5/19/08 by noon.

Take the Attendance Quiz for Week 2. (Click Content, Attendance Quizzes, Week 2)

CAR RENTAL ASSIGNMENT: Complete Case 1: Car Rental Section on page 99. Then using this form complete Case 1 on page 183. You will submit one zipped folder containing the form and code in the same project folder. Chapter 3 Case 1 on page 183 is just an extension of what you started on page 99. Name this project CarRental. This is due on Monday 5/26 by noon.

READ CHAPTER 4: Variables and Arithmetic Operations

Answer the following questions at the end of chapter 4. Put answers in a Word document and attach in the Chapter 4 Exercises Dropbox. These questions should generate lots of interesting discussion on our discussion boards. Page 274-276 Knowledge Check, numbers 2, 3, 7, 10-14, 18, 19, 20. Page 276 Debugging Exercises: numbers 1, 3. Page 277-278 Program Analysis, numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10. This is due on Monday June 2 by noon.

Complete Homework Helper Exercise on page 289 of textbook. You do not have to turn in the Use Case Definition document. Submit the completed zipped project folder in the assignment dropbox "Homework Helper". Your name must be in the documentation. Use Option Strict On, name variables and controls using proper prefixes as specified in book. You must use variables in this program.
