(3 credits – 3 hours)

Basic aspects of the federal government are studied. Emphasis is placed on content and interpretation of the Constitution, federalism, the Congress, the Presidency, the federal court system, and the citizens connections to the federal government by means of elections, political parties, interest groups, and public opinion.
