I have an undergraduate degree from Georgia College with a major in Mathematics and a minor in secondary education and a Master’s Degree from Clemson University in Mathematics. After we moved to Florida in 1983, I taught one year at Valencia Community College, 6 years at Rollins College, and then was a stay-at-home mom for 13 years. I was an adjunct at Seminole State for 3 years, taught high school for 4 years, and now I am thrilled to be back at Seminole State .
I knew when I was in high school that I wanted to be a mathematics teacher and that is all I have ever wanted to do professionally. I love mathematics and enjoy explaining it to other people. It is so much fun when students catch on to a concept! I thoroughly enjoy the environment of a college campus.
I have a fabulous daughter who is a freshman at Samford University in Birmingham, AL, a husband who sells computer systems for SunMicrosystems and is a major runner, and a cat named Tiger.
