I teach the developmental math courses, I also teach at the Seminole State adult high school and at DBCC. I have been with Seminole State for the last 2 years and with DBCC for 15 years. I have gone from only DBCC to primarily Seminole State. I have a degree in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston. After getting to the position of running a Process Engineering dept. for NCR, I decided on a drastic change of careers. I started shoeing horses in 1976. I became a Certified Master Farrier. After back surgery in 1994 I had to give up my business if I wanted to keep walking. Having been kicked in the head more than once I found this a difficult decision but finally opted for the walking. In 1989 I had started as an adjunct with DBCC so I started doing as much teaching as I could. Somewhere along the way I became a certified Harley Davidson Mechanic and wrote a reference book for HD mechanics. While I enjoy fixing motorcycles, I find fixing people much more rewarding so all I do now is teach. In our bookstore students can find " Algebra the Language of Science". This is a set of notes/book that I wrote for Basic Algebra Students. I attemped to write it in student friendly language.
